It’s one thing to pose with a fake Presidential Seal and make yourself look like a complete fool to the American Public. Not to mention all the Democratic voters who wanted Hillary Clinton for President…and voted for her instead of you.
It’s another to promise one thing to Senator McCain regarding fund raising and then go back on your word, isn’t it? These things are troubling. Very, very troubling.
The best story comes out of Aspen, Colorado from The Aspen Times… this morning. Don’t miss this read! The last few grafs are priceless. I hate to be the spoiler, but the writer Addison Garner nails it:
“…Sen. Obama, Abraham Lincoln had it right: “You cannot fool all the people all the time.” You cannot take a vow of pubic-finance piety — then give us a head-fake — and grab the bundled corporate cash. Voters notice.
Nor can you ignite a wall of racial animus, dance behind the flames, and then claim that your true mission is one of American unity and “post-racial” reconciliation. We hear you, Sen. Obama; but, increasingly, we also see you.
Don’t polish that presidential seal prematurely…”
There is also the no small matter of your forged Birth Certificate? It’s only a tad alarming, to any thinking voter. No, make that VERY alarming. Where is your REAL Birth Certificate? And, it certainly is audacious to think you could hope your way through this one now, no? It seems to me that our Government ought to intervene on this. Something seems wrong, doesn’t it? And since when is it up to a blogger to produce a document for you?
Over at Stop-Obama.org they have this up regarding the “Birth Certificate” matter.
Funny, The DNC sent a fundraising letter. It arrived yesterday. But, you aren’t getting one cent. Not a cent. Hillary Clinton was our candidate of choice, not you. You aren’t going to get any money and you aren’t going to get support, or our votes around here. Even the wording in the letter was bogus. I quote from your letter:
“We’re the party of a man who told us the only thing we had to fear was fear itself; and who faced down fascism and liberated a continent from tryanny”
Well, I think that is going to happen. John McCain is going to LIBERATE us from YOU! He will!
You see, you’ve tried to pull off some very strange things in this election, already. Haven’t you?
Why didn’t you stick to what you told John McCain about financing? It’s not as if the public hasn’t noticed, is it? Or how about the FEC? How about the FEC and all the things that happened this year, especially when it was “on shut down.” Maybe we ought to refresh our memory over at Democracy21.org, and then watch a little film on all of this, no? Concerned Americans want to know more about your involvement regarding this whole issue, don’t we?
Perhaps we should revisit something that the head of Democracy21.org said back in 1999, from the NYT:
A New Form of Soft Money Belies Much Talk of Reform
”…The problem with these PAC’s is their Cayman Islands quality,” said Fred Wertheimer, the president of Democracy 21, a public policy organization here. ”Secret, unlimited money is about as dangerous as you can get in American politics in terms of corrupting the system.”
Larry Makinson, the executive director of the Center for Responsive Politics, said that nobody knew how many soft-money PAC’s were in operation in individual states by Senate and House members.
”This is a completely invisible, brand new area of fund-raising,” Mr. Makinson said…”
See, the whole problem a lot of us are having? It’s all about your CHARACTER! You thought people were just going to love your little hopey, unity, message didn’t you?
Except, no, what we wanted to see this year was CHARACTER! In the candidates for President of the United States. Because it COUNTS! So do ETHICS, don’t they?
You know, you seem FAUX and McCain seems GREAT! to this now ex-Democrat.
Here is an article from the NYT on McCain! From 2007! I know who I’m going to vote for now, strictly on CHARACTER, after what you pulled on Hillary Clinton, what you have pulled in terms of fundraising, how you broke your word to John McCain, how you allowed a forged Birth Certificate to appear in the web, and made a cheesy PRESIDENTIAL SEAL way in advance of even being named a nominee in Denver.
Don’t expect any unity from this voter, EVER! McCain will get my vote. Here is why:
The Character Factor
McCain HAS IT! — read the op-ed by David Brooks:
“…Telling the truth is a skill. Those who don’t do it habitually lose the ability, but McCain is well-practiced and has the capacity to face unpleasant truths. While other conservatives failed to see how corporations were insinuating themselves into their movement, McCain went after Boeing contracts. While others failed to see the rising tide of corruption around them, McCain led the charge against Jack Abramoff. While others ignored the spending binge, McCain was among the fiscal hawks.
There have been occasions when McCain compromised his principles for political gain, but he was so bad at it that it always backfired. More often, he is driven by an ancient sense of honor, which is different from fame and consists of the desire to be worthy of the esteem of posterity…”
And, this was interesting. It’s kind of a strange choice of colors for the menu selection isn’t it?
Funny, just how are you going to let your biggest meanest supporter get her “greasy fix” all cooked up out of those things when you have no plans to serve fried things. Let’s try and dream up a menu for the DNC.
“…The Democratic guidelines say every meal should be nutritious and include “at least three of the following colors: red, green, yellow, purple/blue and white…”
Let’s see:
You could have guacamole and salsa cruda on blue corn chips with sour cream.
You could have yellow cornbread, grits, collard greens, baby purple potatoes and sliced tomatoes.
You could have a really large white cake, with artificial frosting colors, no? That would be so faux real and surreal at the same time. But first? Maybe you better get going on that Birth Certificate deal. especially before you declare yourself the nominee like you did in that letter that just came, no?
It’s not nice to try and pull a fast one on all of us former Hillary Clinton supporters. We call ourselves P.U.M.A., in case you haven’t heard.
“Housekeeping” on the South Side of Chicago, Democratic Party Election 2008, and why I am voting for John McCain reason #2…
June 30, 2008
This video below was an insult directed at my candidate Hillary Clinton regarding how Mrs. Clinton “kept house” during her years in the White House. Let’s take a look at what The Boston Globe has to say about how the other half lives, or should we say “keeps house” up in Chicago…
I refer you to an article from The Boston Globe, that will really sicken you when you read about the slum conditions of this district on Chicago’s South Side. It seems that this is how the DNC’s new Presidential candidate in the Democratic Party keeps house in Chicago. In the tenements under his care.
Part of the reason I am a P.U.M.A? I don’t support slums, or the people who are associated with keeping slums, taking kickbacks from slumlords, or profiting off other people’s misery.
The article is called: “Grim Proving Ground for Obama’s Housing Strategy”
“…CHICAGO - The squat brick buildings of Grove Parc Plaza, in a dense neighborhood that Barack Obama represented for eight years as a state senator, hold 504 apartments subsidized by the federal government for people who can’t afford to live anywhere else.
But it’s not safe to live here.
About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition…”
Some way to keep house isn’t it? I do not support Hillary and Bill Clinton giving any aid to this candidate or the Democratic Party. Apparently, this is the sort of housekeeping they believe in up Chicago way. This is not the way most of America lives. Most of America, Republicans, and especially Democratic America will be very shocked at the facts in this article from The Boston Globe.
White working class people and Latinos, such as those disparaged by the tactics of the “New Democratic Party” in this video below have worked for years to help the poor, in various capacities. I doubt they will support any presidential candidate who allows rat-filled slums either in Chicago, Washington, or any city across the United States. I cannot support leadership such as this because it sickens me.
Perhaps, it is a matter of forgetting one’s roots in the case below, no? Or the decency of Bill and Hillary Clinton in their White House years.
I refer you to this article from The Chronicle out of San Francisco, to read Carly Fiorina on leadership and John McCain.
Fiorina stresses need for strong leadership
“The company with the best brains wins. The country with the best brain wins,” said Fiorina, adding: “We can leave nobody behind. Not the laid-off, 45-year-old worker, not the inner-city child.”
Turning to the ethical dimensions of leadership, Fiorina recalled the Enron scandal as a lesson in the danger of bending the rules, leading to breaking the rules, until it brought the company down. Without ethics, she warned, “a company, a person, a country, can lose their way.”
The article goes on:
“There are a lot of things that distinguish John McCain from President Bush,” Fiorina said. “All I can tell you is that John McCain is a man of his word, and when he talks about accountability, he means it.”
I feel the Republican Party, under John McCain’s leadership, can do a much better job of “keeping house” in Washington at this time, given the looks of his ethics and moral stance. I do not have regrets about leaving the Democratic Party and choosing to be a Republican. I cannot support the Clintons as they solicit help for people who have allowed such monstrosities to occur starting as early as 1995. This is not the way of any Democrats I have ever known. Or ever voted into office.
This is not the way the Clintons kept house, in the White House. I suggest the writers at Salon.com such as Ms. Traister check the facts, before she declares that the group calling itself P.U.M.A. Democrats fall in line. With housekeeping like this? Only a rat would want to live there, in those tenements. And plenty of actual rats did. It’s a difficult read, but read it anyway.
I can no longer support the Democratic Party, because of my moral stance. I also suggest the Democratic Party needs to look into the chickens that are “coming home to roost,” upon itself. It also might want to look into just who is responsible for such sordid and squalid conditions before it hijacks its operations northward, no?
Frankly, I’m very surprised that either John Edwards, Michael Moore or Al Gore, not to mention Jimmy Carter could come out for a candidate who was part of such a thing as these tenements in Chicago, I have had such great respect for the four of them, as Democrats up until now, and this election.
For instance…
and then, there is this about him, too! Umm, hmm…. and Sinatra too, but we’ll get there next time… (John McCain is totally glam, and totally an American, especially if you read his wonderful book “Faith of my Fathers”) He represents all that is best about American men, in their hearts…his book was a breath of relief and joy to me, when I read it.
I found a little interview about him over here, that just endeared him to me even further when I read about some of his favorite things. It’s by a reporter who traveled on his bus in the year 2000.
I loved everything he said! Truly! Especially the trees he loves. They are part of the Western landscape, and part of the largesse of the Western attitude en generale, and mindset. He loves the simplest things in life, and Blackberry ice cream! Now that is different!
For instance, these are two of his favorite trees. They are very, very beautiful trees. The cottonwood has heart shaped leaves that shimmer in the light and dance on the wind. They turn yellow in the fall, and they have these giant puffy balls of cotton all over them which fly far and wide. In the winter they are stark against the sky, and they always promise a return of spring.
This is how beautiful they look in the fall!

The Sycamore is a very romantic tree. Here is a Rossetti image of that, to show you how utterly poetic the tree itself is. It’s a tree that is built to survive anything. In the West, if they are burned, they re-sprout from the root — their roots are ancient, and they live for hundreds of years…

Their leaves look like this, and you can read about them from Stanford here.

They look like this picture below, from a distance, and you can see a picture of their leaves and bark here. We tend to revere our trees in the West…
And our American heroes. Here is the latest read on him by the Guardian out of England. I see the maverick spirit, and the rogue. It’s what is inside a candidate’s heart that matters to me. He has a really fabulous face, too. I loved the art. Oh, and, I like the fact he has a temper, or wouldn’t risk bringing something to blows when it comes to a potential bad guy. I love that about him, and no bad press is going to change my mind, now. He is the sort of man a puma adores. It’s the principles, and the heroics. Great seals are given to those who are deserving of them in this country.
