Hillary Clinton wins, Obama waffles…with the FEC, too. Raising eyebrows and a few questions…

2008 April 23

What else is he going to waffle on? This is the whole problem with Barack Obama. He can’t even take a break to answer the reporter’s questions. Do we need that kind of arrogance in the White House right now? No. There are too many pressing problems in the country.

The problem with Obama is substance. Or starch, or spine. He needs “coddling” and he seems to expect that of the American audience. Like a Black male version of Marie Antoinette. The arrogance is so thinly veiled that every time it appears in the press it makes people gag.

All of this brings us back to thinking about readiness for a phone call at 3 a.m. You can hear it now, can’t you?

“I need my sleep”

“Do I have to?”

“I don’t feel like getting up, you get it”

“I need my breakfast first”

“Why should I?”

When you think about it, maybe he can’t speak off the cuff or without a script. His long flowing speechfests say nothing in the end. He doubles back and criss-crosses over territory without conclusions. He also appears not to have a spine and right now we need a president with a VERY big spine.

Hillary Clinton appears differently. She is a fighter, and she is a worker. She doesn’t need the glow of the spotlight on her. She just wants to roll her sleeves up and get going to change the last eight years of Republican rule in the country. It’s a more American way of doing things, in the end.

Obama has problems. We don’t have time for a President with problems.

We don’t have time for a President who can’t answer a reporter’s question.

Obama: Waffling without a prepared speech and an adoring crowd

Peggy Shapiro
Barack Obama needs a prepared speech, a teleprompter, and adoration. Left to his own extemporaneous devices, he missteps and in some cases “waffles.”

There will be many tough questions ahead, and times ahead.

Obama is too slickly packaged for America. He’s had a lot of people “craft” that package so that it can sell to the public. But, being the President is not about image and logos. It’s about leadership, not entitlement. Obama is being a diva.

We don’t have time for that, here.

Fair (Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting) has more on a different sort of Obama WAFFLE.

They are tracing the press on Obama and the FEC and his big money. The money thing is a big problem, isn’t it? McCain is said to be turning the money into a character test. That’s a good thing. Americans want and need a president with character. This is a VERY SERIOUS read, that won’t go down like maple syrup when you start thinking about it. McCain seems to stand on his principles. So does Hillary Clinton. With Obama, which principle is he going to waffle on? If you read the piece above you’ll see he already has.

There’s something funny with the money, it seems.
