The question is, who is Party Builder helping?

and why doesn’t MyDD say something about this?

In an era of the scofflaw?  Democrats deserve to know, don’t we?

You might want to read this, over at Olympia Time’s blog.

“…The fatal flaw of the Democratic Party’s Party Builder social networking platform is that you can prevent people from finding you. On a list of people registered at Party Builder close to zip code 98501 only three people show up inside Thurston County…”

Here’s MyDD on that:

Barack Obama = Party Builder; Hillary Clinton = ???

They picked up an editorial from the NYT—–

Well, well.  Do we have a “scofflaws paradise” right now?  Because that would be very, very bad wouldn’t it?

According to the freedictionary.com SCOFFLAW means criminal, crook, felon, malefactor or outlaw.  It sounded like somebody who just “scoffs” at things — but you just have to love the writer from the NYT who resurrected  that antique phrase.  It sounds like something out of Bonny and Clyde or something.

What with Wall Street looking like 1929, “scofflaw’s paradise” is perfect to describe these times — don’t miss this read!

“The Campaign Monitor Goes Missing

“…An editorial appeared today in The New York Times entitled, ”The Campaign Monitor Goes Missing.”

The editorial begins, ”Moneywise, this is an eerily liberating time to be running for president or Congress. Donations are being harvested and spent at a record rate, while the Federal Election Commission — the campaign’s designated referee — has been reduced to a nonentity.”

The editorial states, ”The panel has been unable to meet and function this year because it no longer has enough members to do business. There are four vacancies on the six-member commission, and a political standoff in the Senate centered on a hack Republican nominee is blocking attempts to fill them.”

According to the editorial, ”Lacking a quorum, the commission has been left powerless to issue advisory opinions for candidates, write new reform regulations, open investigations and file lawsuits against violators. The result is a scofflaw’s paradise. The political landscape’s big-money fast lanes are slick enough without having the only traffic controller gone missing…”

Don’t miss Democracy21.org — what would we do without them?

Right now, we need our FEC!  Don’t we?  Yes, we do.

Some Democrats wonder at Obamas’ use of the Internet to amass funds using target-marketing practices.  Especially in a time when the FEC is “ON HOLD”–  It seems wrong and unethical and our own government needs to get on this right away.

According to Google News he just made another $40 million in March.

It seems that it would be in our country’s best interest if President Bush helped to settle this little problem with the FEC  very quickly.  You can read about this over at Democracy21 — where they are calling it a “Scandal in the Making”

It does seems scandalous doesn’t it?  Dirty.

Shouldn’t all the candidates in this election rely on the FEC’s guidance to keep things legal in America?

It seems that the election should be halted until the FEC is OPEN AGAIN, doesn’t it?

Good thing we have  Fred Wertheimer keeping watch for us.

Aren’t the ETHICS of this election the most important thing?

You know, maybe Ralph Nader and Al Gore could look into this matter.  Or John Edwards.  They’re all honest men.

I mean, the American people don’t need to be target marketed to in order to pick our President. We just want an honest leader.  Don’t we? It’s all about the ETHICS in the end isn’t it?

The FEC is responsible for safeguarding America’s ETHICS.  When it comes to our elections.

Please, President Bush, will you look into this matter?  It’s the Texan way you have about you.  We need that right now, and we’d all thank you for solving this as one of your biggest last acts as our leader.  Please fix the FEC problem in our country.
