Yesterday, I read the most poignant piece of writing I’ve encountered in some time. It’s by Lin Farley from SavagePolitics.com. It’s a feminist memoir, homage to one’s father and more importantly it’s about the Civil Rights era in America.

It’s by a White Woman.  The world hasn’t exactly heard our voices, yet.  But they are going to.

Looking at it again last night, what I realize is that “our” stories haven’t been written. White people’s stories. There is an assumption out there that we have something called “White Privilege” — but that is a dated concept.

What we have now is a split between the moneyed heartless class and the full-of-heart underclass, with the great empty vast sinkhole of what used to be the middle.  This crosses any color lines that may have been drawn in the past.  The top end of the Baby Boom is the most selfish, crappiest generation that has ever existed.  They are immoral.  It’s disgusting to watch how they operate.

The middle had always aspired to be charitable in the past.

Baby Boom Robber Barons have destroyed that.

They have done nothing to give back to their own country.  They have outsourced the United States just so they can profit because they are so greedy.  You know where to find it?  The new feudal lords?  America’s corporations.

Slate has the best piece on this by Daniel Gross called “Rich Men Behaving Badly– Meet the super-rich, the dysfunctional class threatening American values.”

Who is the last CEO you knew who screwed everyone over?  Who did unethical things in your company?  Was it a man or a woman?

Who was the big name brand who shipped production of their wares overseas?

Whose corporation bears the stamps “Made in China” — is that one of the mavens you see on TV spouting off?  About their products?

Who put you on medications made by big pharma?  Who gave you your diagnosis?  Was it an unethical psychiatrist who really didn’t care a hoot about you?  Or your children?

Who told you that you needed to inject botox into your face?  Was it the media?  Was it a magazine?  Or was it a matronly maven?

Who told you to get breast implants?   Who makes the implants?  Which kind of plastic surgeons make billions off of women and their teenage daughters?

Who dispenses the Viagra?  Where did the flaccidity come from?

Who decided you’d eat cloned foods?  They are going to be cheap aren’t they?  In the not too far off future.  You aren’t even going to know what is in what you are eating are you?  You’ll be too tranquilized on meds to care what is being marketed to you on television in a commercial.

How do you think a $1 burrito gets produced?

Do you think that America is just going to stand by forever and watch the destruction?

I don’t think so.  There are people dying in the streets, every day.  Dying of starvation in what was once one of the best countries in the world.  People of all skin colors.

Are you guilty yet?  About your $800 shoes?  Are you guilty about stepping over the sleeping body of a homeless teenager?

Do you know anything about history?  I want to help you refresh your memory on April Fool’s day.

The French Revolution is a good place to start.

Do you see a parallel that will soon come to pass?  I do.

What is wrong is that at the top there isn’t any heart.  Not real heart.  Because the top end of the Baby Boom only cared for itself.  It has no kith and kin.  It has no family.  It isn’t part of the family of man.  It cares only how many dollars it can take.  It cares for no human being.  It cares only for what it can extract until it has bled the universe dry.

But History?

History repeats itself, doesn’t it?

The big fist of history arises when it has to.

Patient dumping by hospitals?

Where is the heart?

Mass layoffs (now a staple) to increase the fat corporate pocket?

What do you think is going to happen when the peasants rise as they did in France?

Do you think you’ll be safe in that gated community you call home?

I doubt it.  The great surge of humanity is going to bust right through the gates.  They will.

Just look at Tibet.

You think that won’t happen here?

We used to have federal programs that made sure our water and food supply was safe.

We used to have ethical standards for what was produced here.   We didn’t produce plastic toys that were going to kill children.  We didn’t produce dog food full of melamine did we?

It’s the cheap little CEO at the top, lining his or her pockets with profit who is causing the problem.

It’s the fat assed maven on TV with product spin offs and soft goods that you are just expected to buy because you’re told to.

Those at the top of the Baby Boom were once Hippies.  They just forgot their values didn’t they?

Didn’t they?

You know how you can unplug from this grid of toxicity?  Quit supporting it.  Just quit buying the products.  It’s that simple.  Don’t buy one more thing made outside of the United States.  Seriously.

Force the shady wheeler dealers that head up the corporations to go out of business!

It’s what you call the first steps to a mini French Revolution here.

Those drugs big pharma has you hooked on?  It isn’t any different than some dealer in a ghetto selling drugs to the poor is it? Not really.

What a great hoax corporate America has pulled on all of us!

There was a time when Presidents served the people in this country.  There was a time when government meant “governing” here.

It’s my opinion that the only four people qualified to jointly “govern” in this next election are Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Ralph Nader and Al Gore.  Better hope they can team up soon, otherwise?

A few more years of unethical chaos and we’re done for here.  Seriously.

We need reforms throughout the entire system, but the first thing we can do is start making things here again.  Really.

Make the corporations change their business models.

It’s that simple.

Life was simpler in the era that Lin Farley’s father came from.  Not everyone was so greedy.

What happened?

Ask a feminist how to fix things and she will do it.  That’s Hillary Clinton.

Astroturf that.
