Barack Obama  is a frightening Neocon.  We are a country who cannot afford what his speech suggests emotionally or psychically after the emotional toll of the last five years.  Nor can we afford financially what he wants in terms of Pakistan.

Barack Obama is not right for an America that wishes for peace.  He has attacked Hillary Clinton, and yet, of any of the candidates what he has suggested in the speech here is cause for all Americans to be concerned.  Very, very concerned.  Barack Obama is not a Pacifist.

“…Former Secretary Rumsfeld said, “You go to war with the Army you have, not the one you want.” I say that if the need arises when I’m President, the Army we have will be the Army we need.

Of course, how we use our armed forces matters just as much as how they are prepared.

No President should ever hesitate to use force – unilaterally if necessary – to protect ourselves and our vital interests when we are attacked or imminently threatened. But when we use force in situations other than self-defense, we should make every effort to garner the clear support and participation of others – the kind of burden-sharing and support President George H.W. Bush mustered before he launched Operation Desert Storm…”

According to this from the Wall Street Journal — dating from August 2007:

“…Incidentally, Mr. Obama’s words–assuming they are sincere–indicate that as President he would have overruled former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who in 2005 is reported to have vetoed a U.S. commando raid into Waziristan on grounds that it might have destabilized Mr. Musharraf’s government. The Senator describes that decision as “a terrible mistake,” and anyone who wants to run to the right of Rummy on counterterrorism can’t be all bad…“

Obama and Axelrod should be ashamed of themselves.

They have painted one picture of Obama as someone who will end the war.

After reading this speech?  He’s nothing more than a neocon warmonger even more right wing than Rumsfeld.  If you want world Peace, Obama is not your man.  This speech is nothing but doublespeak.  Read it and find out who is really Dr. Strangelove.

It’s time to revisit all of Stanley Kubrick’s films.  Start with Apocalypse Now,  Doctor Strangelove and Full Metal Jacket.  The veterans coming home from the war are homeless on the streets and living in tent cities.  We cannot as a country let more of this happen to the Patriots who fought for us post 9/11.

Don’t vote for a warmonger.
